Leadership Team
1 Day Workshop
Everyone strives to make instructional decisions based on student data—and there is so much data! Spend a day slowing down and considering how to facilitate meaningful and thoughtful data conversations that uplift teachers and offer positive energy for determining their next instructional decisions. This workshop focuses on developing the skills to lead conversations, not specific assessment programs.
Literacy Team
1 Day Workshop
Instructional coach Mary Brower shares a practical process to explore, select, and pilot a new phonics program. Consider criteria for evaluating different programs, as well as ways to test potential programs with students. Dig into the process of pitching a program to the literacy team and creating positive energy for administrator support. Finally, learn the nitty-gritty of setting parameters for the pilot and establishing systems for collecting data from multiple stakeholders. (After screening and piloting phonics programs, Mary’s district selected UFLI.)

Frequently Asked Questions
Often schools love to host our workshops. Many districts have a dedicated professional learning space making it easy to host a workshop. There are also large group rooms, lecture rooms, media centers, or other creative spaces to host a workshop. An additional perk of hosting in a school is the leadership team can “pop in” for a portion of the workshop as their schedules allow.
Some Education Service Centers have a professional learning space and prefer to host onsite. It’s best to have space for 30+ participants with wi-fi connection, projection, and sound.

A hybrid option makes it possible to partner with others who would like to offer the same workshop, allowing for multiple locations to host the workshop on the same day.
A host is the person who arranges the workshop. The host promotes the event and secures a site for the workshop.
A facilitator attends the workshop for the entire day and leads the professional learning experiences.
The Lead Learners will share the registration link, a workshop image, and email copy with the host. The Lead Learners will also share a blurb about the workshop for social media posting. If the host wants tailored images for a specific social media platform, we’ll generate those for you!
We’ll work together to take care of the details. The Lead Learners will cover the cost of coffee and light snacks.
The breakeven number* for a workshop determines the number of registrants needed to procure facility fees. The Lead Learners prefers not to cancel a workshop; the decision to cancel will be mutually determined between The Lead Learners and the host.
*On average, 20 paid registrations is the typical breakeven number. This number will be determined for each individual workshop.
After the breakeven number* of paid registrations is met, The Lead Learners may pay a facility fee. Often school host sites prefer to receive free registrations in lieu of a facility fee.
